Shopping items: prepping for One Lap

I've been doing amateur racing events for decades, so I already have a full complement of the essential things you need for this hobby, such as a SA-rated helmet, tire gauge, multiple aluminum floor jacks, lots of other hand tools, and GoPro camera mounts and myriad spare batteries, but I still found I needed some other items for One Lap—stuff you need for doing this unusual week-long event.

Here are some of the items I felt I needed to acquire:

Sunscreen... a lot of it (will we need 21 ounces of sunscreen for two people, for a little over a week? Unlikely. But it'll be handy for sharing, having more than one container of it will make it easier to access and re-apply): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078BF2BGP

Super jumbo XXL ziplock bags (we're using these for containing our racesuits, driving gloves, and shoes... these bags will hopefully keep our stuff dry in case of rain, and the bags being clear makes it easier to identify which bag of stuff belongs to which driver): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J5IM64Q

Memory foam seat pads (when you're going to be spending more an a week driving about 3,900 miles in a thinly padded Recaro fiberglass race seat, these would seem to be a "must-have" item): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011BJX3JS

And because the bottom of the Recaro race seat is also very thinly padded, I bought one of these wheelchair eggcrate foam sheets to cut down to fit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011WHESM

One Lap of America requires either safety triangles or road flares, in case of a breakdown during the transit legs, so I bought the smallest ones to maximum storage space in the car... these only burn for 20 minutes instead of the typical 30 minutes, but with luck, we'll not be needing them at all during One Lap: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Orion-Safety-Products-20-Minute-Flares-with-Orange-Vest-6pk/21801879

There are other items required for One Lap of America—such as a first aid kit and an on-board fire extinguisher—that competitors will need to buy, but in our case we already had these items. We also will be using a plastic tote (with a snap-on lid) for ease and efficiency of taking stuff in and out of the car at each event, and to keep stuff dry if the weather should get nasty.

I also bought some cheap plastic tarps at Harbor Freight + bungee cords, which will be handy for further waterproofing our belonging if (when?) it rains on us during the driving events, when everything that we're carrying with us in the back of the car will be sitting outside on the ground.

It should go without saying that when you're preparing for rain, you should also have rain jackets, or an umbrella, or a spare pair of shoes for when your primary pair get soaked... or all three.
